Ivanna McMahon is a 27-year-old doctor from Barefield, Ennis, Co Clare, who has recently been crowned Miss Ireland 2022 at the Diamond Jubilee Ceremony at The Royal Theatre Castlebar.
Ivanna McMahon Biography
Ivanna studied medicine at University College Cork and graduated in 2020. She went on to do her internship at Cork University Hospital and worked in cardiology and neurology before moving to University Hospital Tralee to work in surgery.
Throughout the pandemic, Ivanna worked in the GP Scheme at Tralee General Hospital, caring for patients on the frontline. She is currently taking a well-deserved year out.
Before winning the Miss Ireland title, Ivanna wowed guests with her performance of “Cosmic Love” by Florence and the Machine on the harp at the Miss Ireland Diamond Ball. She has been playing the harp since the age of 13 and has played with the National Irish Harp Orchestra, touring Germany and Austria.
She also plays six other instruments, including the drums, harmonica, fiddle, boughran, and tin whistle. She won the All-Ireland Championships for Drums and Harmonica and is a fluent Irish speaker.
