Kristiyana Yordanova is a 24-year-old author and Psychology & Neuroscience student at the University of British Columbia. She will represent Bulgaria at the 71st Miss World pageant.

Kristiyana, who is of Bulgarian-Canadian descent, was crowned Miss World Bulgaria 2022 in a competition held on December 7, 2022, at the Princess Casino Sofia Ramada Hotel & Spa in Sofia.
Kristiyana Yordanova is not new to pageantry, having participated in the Miss World Canada 2022 pageant on November 13, where she placed in the Top 15.
After being crowned Miss World Bulgaria 2022, she took to her official social media to express her gratitude and honor in receiving the crown and representing her home country.
She wrote, “I was deeply affected as a child when I had to move away from everything I had ever known. I missed my roots deeply, and so being able to connect with my culture yet again so seamlessly was so beautiful and genuine.”
Kristiyana Yordanova is not just a beauty queen but a mental health advocate as well. She founded “Woman Squared” to use her platform to open up a conversation and change the narrative about women in society. Kristiyana wants to lend a helping hand when it comes to mental health struggles. She said, “It is about having an open conversation with one another about how to lend a helping hand when it comes to mental health struggles.”
Her passion for psychology and neuroscience inspired her to write a book titled Forbidden Words, which is about love, healing, and transformation. Kristiyana is currently studying psychology and neuroscience at the University of British Columbia. She is an inspiring author of poetry and an advocate for mental health.
Kristiyana Yordanova’s coronation as Miss World Bulgaria 2022 was a proud moment for her and her country. Her advocacy for mental health and women’s empowerment has made her a role model for young women across the world.
