Leanni Tibbetts is a model, pilot and beauty pageant winner from Cayman Islands. In September 2022, she was crowned Miss World Cayman Islands, beating out a number of other talented and beautiful contestants.
She has also won a number of special awards, including Miss Photogenic, Best in Sports, Best in Island Couture, and Best in Interview, and she has a bright future ahead of her.
Born and raised in George Town, Leanni is a sub-lieutenant at the Cayman Islands Cadet Corps.
Leanni is a high achiever who holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation Management, with a Flight Minor in Aviation Environmental Science from the Florida Institute of Technology. She has a Commercial Multi-Engine license with Instrument Rating and was also President of Women in Aviation at FIT.
In addition to her beauty and talent, Leanni is also an environmental conservation advocate who is committed to empowering women, especially those in abusive situations.
She lives by the saying “Be the change” and intends to use her platform as Miss World Cayman Islands to highlight important environmental initiatives and support women who need a voice.
Leanni’s win was especially impressive given that the Cayman Islands has never won the Miss World crown. The only other Caymanian to make it to the top 15 of the competition was Maureen Theresa Lewis in 1982. However, Leanni is determined to change that and is preparing to represent her country at the 71st Miss World pageant.
