Yelsin Almendáres is a 23-year-old Honduran woman from Danlí, El Paraíso. She was crowned as Miss Honduras World 2022 after standing out among 16 contestants for her charisma, elegance, beauty, and talent at the pageant held in La Ceiba, Atlántida.
Yelsin is currently a Business Administration student and has always had a passion for modeling. She was the junior queen of FESTIMA in 2018 and was also the second runner-up in Miss Caribbean Sea.
Yelsin will be representing Honduras at the 71st edition of Miss World, which will take place in December of this year.
In an interview, Yelsin described herself as a humble, disciplined, and empathetic woman with a love for her family and an approach towards fulfilling her goals and objectives. She is currently continuing her university studies in Business Administration and plans to take the cabin crew course.
Yelsin is passionate about extreme sports such as mountain motorcycling and horseback riding, as well as participating in social assistance with the National Volunteer Network of the department of El Paraíso. She is also an avid watcher of surgical intervention case shows but has a phobia of spiders and crickets.
As a member of the Volunteer Network of her city, Yelsin has participated in various social assistance activities, such as supporting the Children with Cancer Foundation, volunteering in Telethon activities, and donating food and hygiene supplies to nursing homes.
Yelsin aspires to achieve professional success as a graduate in Business Administration, qualify as a cabin crew member, and represent Honduras in Miss World to showcase the country internationally. She is already preparing for the pageant by improving her diction, catwalk, and physical and sporting resistance to become an integral woman who can perform in multiple fields and sectors.
