Ámbar Zenteno is a fashion model and engineer from Chile, who was crowned as the new Miss Mundo Chile 2022, also known as Miss World Chile.
The 27-year-old engineer, representing Las Condes, gave a stellar performance at the finale held on 16 October 2022 at the Icon Hotel in the Las Condes district of Santiago. Ambar also won the Popular Vote and Beauty with a Purpose award.
Apart from her engineering profession and her passion for travel, Ambar is also an ambassador for Disautonomía Chile, an organization that raises awareness of the disease called dysautonomia, which she herself suffers from.
Camila Vásquez of Santiago was declared the first runner-up, while Sinaí Fardella of Molina, Javiera Castro of Patagonia, Romina Vega of La Reina, and Constanza Contreras of Chillán rounded out the Top 6 finalists, each winning a fast-track challenge.
Ambar will now represent Chile at the 71st Miss World pageant. Chile is yet to win the Miss World crown and is currently ranked 41st at the Big5 Ranking.
Ambar Zenteno succeeds Miss Mundo Chile 2021 Carol Drpic, who represented Chile at Miss World 2021 and made it to the Top 40.
