Faith Torres, the newly crowned Miss Gibraltar 2022, is a 21-year-old biomedical science graduate. She is now preparing to represent Gibraltar at the 71st Miss World pageant, where she hopes to showcase her beauty, intelligence, and potential on the world stage.
Faith Torres Biography
Faith has a passion for music and has been playing the piano since she was six years old. She was awarded “Most Promising Pianist 2016 GIBFYM”. She has also been singing with the Gibraltar Youth Choir since the age of 12.
Faith is a gym enthusiast and animal lover. She can speak English and Spanish fluently.
During her gap year in education, she decided to enter the Miss Gibraltar pageant, a decision that has paid off for her.
Faith Torres At Miss Gibraltar Pageant
The Miss Gibraltar pageant was organized by No1 Models Gibraltar, with Kevin Hewitt at the helm. The event featured four different sections of the contestants, including an opening number, a swimwear round, a stage interview, and an evening wear segment.
The event was presented by Louis Perry and Kayley Mifsud, and the show featured the Mediterranean Dance School and talented local singers.
After two and a half hours of entertainment, Faith Torres was declared Miss Gibraltar 2022, and also received the Miss Elegance and People’s Choice Awards. Faith beat out 11 other finalists to win the title.
Faith was crowned by last year’s winner, Janice Sampere, during a sold-out show at the Alameda Open-Air Theatre.
Jaylynn Cruz was named the first princess, also winning the Miss Interview and Miss Photogenic awards, and Michelle Lopez Desoisa was named the second princess.
The Miss Catwalk and the Head To Head Challenge Winner was Shyanne Mcintosh, while the Miss Friendship Award was given to Rebecca Davis.
Faith is a believer that pageants allow women to showcase their physical beauty, intelligence, and potential.
