Oh Wei Qi, aged 23, is the newly crowned Miss World Singapore 2022. She is an artist and entrepreneur who will represent Singapore in the upcoming Miss World competition.
Oh Wei Qi Biography
Oh Wei Qi is a graduate of LASALLE College Of Arts majoring in Fashion Design. Currently she is continuing her master’s studies at Raffles Design Institute, Singapore and works as a fashion designer.
The Miss World Singapore 2021 contest was the first beauty pageant event she participated in and made it into the Top 6 with the Best Hair and People’s Choice award.
A year later, she tried her luck again by taking part in the Miss World Singapore 2022 event.
Oh Wei Qi At Miss Singapore
On September 10, 2022, at The Theatre at Mediacorp, Wei Qi was crowned as the new queen by the Singapore startup HyperLive Entertainment.
She succeeded Miss World Singapore 2021 Khailing Ho. In her social media post after winning the crown, she expressed her gratitude and mentioned that it was her second attempt at Miss World Singapore.
She admitted to being shocked when she was crowned as the new Miss World Singapore 2022. She stated in her Facebook post, “Everything feels so surreal to me, it feels like a dream”. She believes that winning the national crown is not just about the title but also about what she can do with it.
She mentioned that the pageant taught her the beauty of Miss World and the possibilities to give back to society.
During the Miss World Singapore 2022 pageant, Gerlyn Cheah was crowned as Miss Intercontinental Singapore 2022, and Saranya Chyenne was named as Miss Globe Singapore 2022. The event was graced by the reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska.
