Miss World is an annual event, recognized as one of the oldest, longest-running, and the most popular among international beauty pageants.
The Miss World pageant was founded in London in 1951 by Eric Morley, British television presenter. While the contest’s official name was the Festival Bikini Contest, the event drew widespread attention from the British press, who dubbed it “Miss World”.
The current Miss World is Karolina Bielawska of Poland, who was crowned by Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica on March 16, 2022, in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

In 2023, the 71st Miss World pageant will take place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Announcing the news on Monday, the Miss World Limited chairwoman Julia Morley said she was “delighted” to bring the pageant to the Emirates, marking its first foray into the Middle East in its seven-decade history.
